Ara has 50+ years of experience in gasoline, diesel, and bunker blending. He started with Exxon Research & Engineering, then started his own company with number of Exxon colleagues, designing and implementing numerous blending projects, and finally being acquired by ABB. Currently, he is the founder of RAI, a fuel oil blending consulting company.
The materials in these modules have been provided by Ara Barsamian and are based on personal knowledge and experience. Some data and materials have been contributed over the years by other experts of Refinery Automation Institute. All modules have been peer-reviewed by working members of US and foreign refineries, gasoline traders, oil terminal operators, pipeline company staff, and Laboratory personnel. The author acknowledges the contributions of all RAI staff and consultants, past and present.
